Pizza Making Class
This class gives you the full pizza-making experience from making the dough, the sauce, assembling the pizza, and learning tips & tricks on how to bake apizza correctly. This class also includes a short lesson on apizza history and lingo. This class is held at Next Door in New Haven, CT or at your location.
This class is for people who don't have any interest in learning how to make the dough or sauce and just want to make pizzas for fun. I show you how to stretch, assemble, launch, bake, cut and eat your pizza, then you make your own pizza!
Both classes start with (2) large world class New Haven Style "apizzatisers" as I call them! One traditional mozzarella pie and the pie that started it all, the New Haven Plain/tomato pie (dough, sauce, pec rom, oilve oil and garlic).
Class starts with a fun lesson in dough tossing, followed by a quick New Haven Pizza history lesson, then it's pizza making time! I teach you how to make the dough and sauce, all ingredients sourced from one place to make this process easy for you to recreate at your home. Next, I show you how to ball the mixed dough, stretch the dough (no rolling pin used :), assemble, launch, bake, "New Haven cut" and eat the pizza. Additionally, I go over the importance of a steel plate to make restaurant quality pizza in your home oven. Class time is roughly 3 hrs. 2 hrs. of instruction, 1 hour of pizza making. Foxon Park soda included at the brick and mortar classes and Italian music played throughout class.
